Ornate web of grief

On a great loom of sadness

My tears are complex

Wish I could paint so I could see what I’m feeling. Wish I could sing so I could give my pain a melody

some of us take a walk on the wild side and never look back.

The threadbare thread is bareley holding.

Mourners fall into an embrace

to touch each other

like they’re touching the dead

Just one last time

And feel you touching back.

There is no hunger

I do not eat

There are no more tears

So I do not cry

Here

I mourn

I heal

I grow

A Thanks is in order

I guess

I am more complete

I am more mature

I am more free

Missing

your You

Pours

Peels

Opens

What is me

I go on when you end.

There,

I get to see what I am

Sans you

Only my idea of you

and me

And my idea of me

Grateful for my husband

Who plays for me The Darkest love songs

And tells me he loves them

Because they are Messy

And Real

And so is Life

What happens when a stranger dies?

How do I grieve

The death of an Acquaintance?

Is it the loss that I mourn?

Or the person?

I grieve not for the deceased

But for the world

A spiritual Being in a Human Body

expired

left behind human bodies

crashing into each other

in pain

in a sea of numbness

in a silent void

where his voice might have been

in an empty chair

where he might have been seen

i see the pain left behind,

and the love that went along with him

for the Ride

My Faith does not waiver

Even for a second

Instead, God seems more real than ever

and everywhere

and everything

and on

These words come from a place

I didn’t know I had

“I don’t write poetry”

“I don’t believe in GOD”

“I don’t have FAITH”

But here I am

With a pain

and a keyboard

and a head full of questions

a face

swollen from crying

a chest ful of mucus

from crying

and all i can do

Is Type.

My body is tired

and heavy.

There is a silence inside me

But it is so peaceful,

I let it sit without Interruption

because I think it might be God

Hugging me from the Inside.
